Weekend: the new Janet Jackson song?? Hear the podcast here !!

So the countdown is over, the promised surprised is now up on Janet Jackson

's official website (www.janetjackson.com) and it's a song called "Weekend". It's a new song with new vocals. I don' think this is going to be the new single at all, I think this is just a "surprise" song offered by Janet to her fans. What's

interesting in fact in "Weekend" is her voice which sounds kinda fresh and young, but the rhythm and the melody is pretty dumb and too simple for it to be a single supposed to promote janet's new album. At least, I hope this ain't gonna be the new single because it's doesn't sound like a potential superhit at all (think "control", think "nasty" or think "what have you done for me lately". I mean, there's a huge difference between that janet and this janet !!) I personally want something ferocious and fierce!!! So I hope this is not going to be the new janet jackson single. Ce que j'aime pas dans cette chanson, c'est sa voix synthétique et métallique. Jpense pas que ça sera son 1er single mais c'est sympatoche.

janet a dit que ce n'était pas son single ni même que cela serait sur son album. cette chanson est une cover d'une ancienne chanson par une autre chanteuse. elle est offerte par janet pour les fans sur son site web.
maintenant, quelques petites choses:
- après plusieurs écoutes, je trouve que ce n'est pas si mal que ça, c'est très stylé années 80
- la voix est bien et nullement ni synthétique ni je ne sais plus quel autre qualificatif.

J'aime beaucoup beaucoup le beat et la voix de janet... donc en gros j'aime beaucoup la chanson... mais je la trouve assez répétitive et je pense que je vais me lasser très rapidement. En tout cas je la trouve très catchy et un édit de 3'30 serait très radiogénétique je pense.

C'est officiel, la chanson n'est ni le premier single, ni même sur l'album : c'est juste un cadeau de Janet pour fare patentier ses fans.
